I was fortunate to participate in the Georgetown, TX, Earth Day March for science today. A good crowd turned out, while cheered from the March path and honked horns of encouragement.
Earth Day is important to me because it is a celebration of God’s creation and our commission to care for that creation, as theologian Vincent Bacote has reminded us.
The March for Science reminds us of the importance science in helping understand God’s creation. Faith and science are not at odds. They both can help us pursue truth.
